Primary calibration

The app can display sunset, sunrise etc. sun related locations relative to the vehicle. Enabling this requires permission to use device location.

Wheelbase and track are distance between the wheels in forward and sideways directions. Check Wikipedia article for clear picture.

Level block height is used in visualization to show maximum height each wheel must be lifted to get level van. Some examples of leveling blocks/chocks.

The "roll and pitch comfortable angles" are used to visualize maximum comfortable inclination in roll and pitch directions. The comfortable angles are chosen to be non symmetric as usually it's more uncomfortable to sleep head slightly downwards than slightly upwards.

This app is intended for camper van and RV owners who want to minimize the tilt of their vehicle while parking.

The app has a calibration functionality which allows you to place your smart phone on a dashboard or any other surface which is not in level with the floor of your van and still get accurate roll and pitch angles.

The app will also show how high each wheel needs to be lifted to get completely level van.

Calibration

Welcome to calibration, the best feature of LevelMyVan!

Calibration allows you to place your smarphone on a predetermined surface / phone holder and still measure tilt of the van accurately. Without the calibration LevelMyVan can only display your smart phones orientation, not the true orientation of your van/RV.

To start the calibration, place your smart phone on a surface / phone holder which you would be using while parking your vehicle.

Next, drive to a spot where you can safely turn your vehicle 180 degrees. For example large parking lot would work well. When you are ready, press the button below.

After pressing the button, you should turn your vehicle 180 degrees. For example if you are in a parking lot, turn your vehicle around in the same parking spot.
